Most homeowners pick that color off a sample board the size of a paperback, under showroom lights, and hope it reads the same under a gray Portland sky. We watched enough customers second-guess the choice that we built something better.

RoofVision is a free preview tool on this website. You upload one photo of your home, pick a shingle, and the tool renders that exact manufacturer finish onto your own roofline. You drag a before-and-after slider to compare. No account, no appointment, no salesperson.

How it works

  1. Upload a photo of your home from your phone or computer. JPG, PNG, WEBP, or HEIC, up to 20 MB. The photo is used only to create your preview.
  2. Pick a finish. The roof catalog holds 22 GAF shingles: 16 Timberline HDZ colors and 6 Grand Sequoia designer colors. These are the shingles we actually install, not a fantasy catalog.
  3. Enter your email to get your preview. That is the one gate. The tool is free; the email lets us send you the result and follow up once.
  4. Compare, save, and share. You get a watermarked preview to view free, and you can save a high-resolution image to show your family, your HOA, or your insurance company.

The siding version too

SidingVision does the same job for siding. Its catalog holds 85 finishes: James Hardie HardiePlank Statement Collection colors across lap, board and batten, and shake profiles, plus CertainTeed CedarBoards insulated vinyl. After you pick a siding color, you can repaint it in 10 Sherwin-Williams and Benjamin Moore register colors and swap between 16 HardieTrim trim colors. One photo covers the whole exterior.

Why we built it

We are a roofing and siding contractor, not a software company. We built RoofVision because the finish decision was the one part of every project where homeowners had to guess. Guessing is how you end up with a roof you tolerate instead of one you like. The tool costs you an email address and about two minutes. If it helps you walk into a consultation already knowing what you want, it did its job.
